So. Since Gran hadn't said anything to me about the DADA class, I decided to ask her what she thought of the letter.
And she asks me what letter.
And I have seen before that House Elves can make thier own decisions and do things you might not want them to if they can find a loophole in what you've said. Or even if you've not said anything in particular about a thing.
Especially that awful incident summer after 4th year, when Hermione had been going on about S.P.E.W., and I ended up feeling so badly for them I tried to set them free.
Seriously offended House Elves can make you regret things. Not that i've given up entirely, I just don't know how...
Ended up finding out Tessy had taken the letter. And I got in some Apparition practice trying to catch her, too. Ha!
Even though I did catch her, I came way too close to ending up in some walls. I'm going to wait and try and get in some more practice on weekends, (if there's any time) may try for the test come hols? I don't know.
Once I did corner her, and thought to tell her not to leave, turns out she didn't want me upsetting Gran. So I tried to explain to her that I didn't want to upset Gran, but she wasn't going to change my mind about this.
Something about those eyes of her make for really expressive guilt trips, though.
